If, twenty years ago, you were to say that everyone-- literally everyone-- would talk on complex cell phones of the future with low quality sound that has a weird lag, so that if one person starts talking as the same time as the other it is impossible to synch back up without several stops and starts, and that also, you will be talking to someone and then just suddenly not talking to them, even when no one on either side actively hung up on the other, that person's reaction would probably be, "Well that sounds shitty, but do I get to have a whole crapload of 99 cent video games that I won't play more than 10 minutes of before I buy another one?"
