There's an old saying. If you don't want someone to join a crowd, you ask them, "If everyone were jumping off of a cliff, would you?" Well, I have. So my answer would be "Yes". True story.

this entry brought to you by louis xiv, "i'm finding out true love is blind"

NEW YORK-- Festival organizer Music Forever, Inc, who have put together the popular Village Joy Music Festival for the 6 years in the city of Fairfax, VA, announced today their intent to start a second music event, called the Undead Music and Arts Festival, to be held in the year 2025. It will feature the clones of many of rock lovers' favorite music acts with deceased members, including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin, and will even feature newer bands such as Nirvana and Alice in Chains.

Mark Finch, president of Music Forever, Inc, elaborated his company's announcement at a press event: "We've been working closely with the North Korean government, who were the first to successfully clone a human embryo in 2005. Our plan is, by the year 2025, to have all of the members of all of the various bands that will be performing-- some have not been announced yet-- in the physical form that their former selves were in during their peak time, so you'll see them the way you want to see them. We've been raising these clones on a constant diet of their own music and a heavy stream of video of their own performances, so that they'll be in top form and will be indistinguishable from the real thing when the time to rock comes. This isn't going to be some special effect-- this is going to be the real thing, playing the songs you love, the way you want them to sound. What's more is we're not just cloning the dead members-- we're also cloning the still living members of the bands, so that they too will be in their peak condition, rocking out with the rest of the band, just as they would have during their respective band's performances at the height of their careers."

The most exciting part of the press conference came when Finch unexpectedly brought out the clones of John Lennon and Kurt Cobain to say a few words, much to the delight of the press.

"Me sad. Me no have daddy or mommy," the clone of John Lennon was quoted as saying.

Added the clone of Kurt Cobain, "Man in white say me special, but me wonder why exist. Me no should be."

Pricing for tickets of the much-anticipated festival has been undetermined, but is expected to be "in the neighborhood of $7,000 dollars," said Finch. "But you have 17 years to save up the money, and during that time, these guys will be getting ready to show you how much it will be worth it!"

Rumors began circulating about the addition of deceased rappers to be added to the line up immediately after the press conference. Mark Finch was contacted by phone before going to press, and definitively quashed the rumors. "There are so many dead rappers that it would cost us entirely too much money to set up, so that won't be happening at all."
