Why Do We Only Have 12 months?

Check it out: How many months are there in a year? 12. How many weeks are there in a month? 4. So, by that math, there are only 48 weeks in a year. There's a whole month missing. So why don't we just have 13 months and make it easier on everyone? I propose we call this new month "Chrisember", after the man who discovered the 13th month, Chris.
