There was this mall on the other sie of town when I was a teenager. The escalators there were seperated by flights of stairs, which is probably the most pointless idea I've ever seen. Well. Maybe if there were a monster at the top of the escalator waiting to eat anyone who came up it but had a major blind spot and couldn't see the stairs. But that's only happened to me maybe twice. Compared to all the other times I've ridden escalators, though?
