A Little Known Fact About Your Favorite Candies
this entry brought to you by foo fighters, "i'll stick around"
True fact: the reason candies like M&Ms and Skittles are labelled with little "M" or "S" on the candy itself is so if you find one on the ground randomly, you can decide if you'll risk eating it or not.
For example, let's say you find a green candy under a copy machine, and you pick it up, and it says "s", and it just so happens you were in the mood for Skittles, you might say to yourself, "Hell yes, I'd like a Skittles-- it's just a little dust. Germs won't get in the way of my fruit sensation." Or, say you find an orange candy in the street and you pick it up and it's got an "m", but say you like M&Ms a lot, but maybe you're not in the mood for one, you might think, "That M&M is tasty, but it is not worth the germs I might potentially get from eating one off the street just for a moment of chocolate goodness. Now, if it were a Skittles, on the other hand..."
