Little known fact about Mr Peanut, Planters' mascot. He was an actual person. No, of course he wasn't a giant, anthropomorphic peanut. That would be silly. In fact, he was actually allergic to peanuts. And he didn't actually wear a top hat. Or a monocle. In fact, his name wasn't even Peanut. It was Guiterrez. But he did work there. He didn't found the company or anything. But was a supervisor.
Dave Thomas, the now deceased founder of Wendy's, on the other hand? Total fabrication. He was portrayed on TV by an animatronic puppet. Just like Andy Rooney.
