There's an old saying. If you don't want someone to join a crowd, you ask them, "If everyone were jumping off of a cliff, would you?" Well, I have. So my answer would be "Yes". True story.

this entry brought to you by nirvana, "all apologies"

So. How're you holding up?

I'm doing alright. You know. Hanging in there.

How far along is she?

She's six months along.

You nervous?

Yeah, real nervous, actually. Much more nervous than I thought I'd be. And even moreso everyday, it seems. I mean, when you think about all the things that could go wrong, it just kind of boggles your mind. I don't know how I'm going to deal with actually being there...

Honestly, it's not that bad. It's just like anything else. You know? Don't psych yourself so much that you don't have your wits about you when the time comes. The worst thing that you could do is miss the whole thing because you threw up or passed out. Because in all honestly, it's just like any other important event, but you have to remember, it happens hundreds of times a day, and it doesn't even have to happen in a hospital. But even if it happens in the taxi on the way there, I mean, that happens, and when it does, things still manage to go alright.

Yeah... It would be awful if I passed out. You know, you're right. It happens hundreds of times a day. Childbirth happens so often that they even have their own section of the hospital dedicated just to it. You know, thanks, man. Most people... They just tell stories about how horrible it is, you know, 52 hours of labor, cesearian sections, all that scary stuff. Believe it or not, people don't just tell me that it won't be that bad. It's kind of refreshing.

No problem, man. And while I'm at it, let me tell you something else no one will tell you. I take it you guys are still having sex, right?

Yeah.

Well, somewhere around the 8 month point, you'll be happily going along, "La dee da, dum dee dum... What the hell is that? Is that... ? No, it can't be. That's crazy." But then a couple weeks later, you'll be like, "Doo-doo-doo... Okay, yes, definitely, I am feeling the baby, I can't do this any more, this is freaking me out."

Yeah... Uhm... Hey listen... I'm going to walk away slowly now. Bye.

Think I'm weird at your own peril! It will happen to you! Unless my wang is just that much huger than your's. Which, in all likelihood is true.
